Context

In the highly competitive sports betting market in Cameroon, every player seeks to capture the attention of bettors through innovative communication strategies. Bettomax, a sports betting company based in Douala, aimed to make a bold statement with its first public campaign. The goal was to differentiate itself from other market players by offering a distinctive and engaging communication approach that effectively resonates with its target audience.

The idea

To meet this challenge, we developed the “BETTOMAX, YOUR WIN FOLLOWS YOU” campaign. The central concept of this campaign revolves around the idea that with Bettomax, there are always opportunities to win, even after losing bets. This promise was creatively illustrated through visuals featuring different characters, each representing a specific segment of the brand’s target audience. The characters are depicted in situations where their winnings seem to literally “follow” them, symbolizing the persistence of luck and the constant opportunity to win with Bettomax.

Each visual showcases a unique character to directly connect with Bettomax’s diverse target groups, reinforcing the idea that no matter who you are or where you come from, your wins will follow you with Bettomax.

The approach

To maximize the impact of the campaign, we deployed a strategic outdoor advertising initiative across key high-traffic areas in Douala. Billboards were placed in prime locations to ensure high visibility, and the visuals were meticulously crafted to capture attention and effectively communicate the campaign’s key message.

Each visual highlights diverse characters, reflecting the broad customer base of Bettomax, reinforcing the brand’s inclusive and accessible positioning. This visual and narrative strategy establishes a strong emotional connection with the target audience, driving home the idea that luck with Bettomax is always within reach, even after a loss.
